George McCann Memorial Preschool is a California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing (CCLD) licensed day care center in Visalia, serving preschool through transitional kindergarten children ages 3 and up. Part of the Catholic School of Visalia campus since 1923, the center offers a Christ-centered, play-based curriculum grounded in Gospel values with teachers holding at minimum a Bachelor's degree, facilitating a seamless educational pathway into the K–8 program on the same campus. The intimate setting of 17 children fosters highly individualized attention in a dedicated classroom with its own facilities. The school holds WASC and WCEA accreditation, and its most recent CCLD inspection was in September 2025; prospective families should note that the center operates seasonally and is closed June through August.
Programs & activities: Religious education, music, art, literature, dramatic play, science, language development, math and reading readiness, and motor skill development.
