Play & Learn Preschool is a small, church-based program operating since 1968 in Stow Community United Church of Christ, serving preschool-age children on a part-time schedule—3-year-olds on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 4- and 5-year-olds on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Parents consistently praise strong learning outcomes and the staff's trustworthiness, and the program's practice of personally escorting children in and out of vehicles daily creates natural parent-teacher communication touchpoints. The curriculum covers math, literacy, science, social studies, and age-appropriate motor skills with a capacity of 24 children. However, the program is not SUTQ rated and operates only part-time, making it unsuitable for families needing full-time care; additionally, compliance issues noted in the February 2025 inspection remain unaddressed.
