About Lucy Cousins
Lucy Cousins is the British author-illustrator who created Maisy Mouse, beginning in 1990. More than 28 million Maisy books have been sold worldwide, in 29 languages.
Cousins created Maisy while studying at the Royal College of Art, wanting to make a book with flaps. She has said she wants her illustrations 'to look spontaneous, like I just sat down on a nice sunny day; spontaneous and childlike.'
