About Sam McBratney
Sam McBratney (1943–2020) was a Northern Irish teacher and radio dramatist who wrote for decades before, at age 51, producing Guess How Much I Love You — now translated into more than 50 languages with over 50 million copies sold.
McBratney always insisted the book wasn't about romantic or even parental love specifically, but about the game of trying to measure the unmeasurable — a game he'd watched children and adults play forever.
