These are the roughly one hundred authors behind our 2026 Teacher’s Choice list — 120 books chosen across four reading stages. Each author page includes our teachers’ reviews of their selected books, and for many, the story of how they came to write for children.
A note on independence: there is no way onto this list except through our classrooms. Authors and publishers can’t pay for placement, and we earn nothing from book sales — which is exactly why the recognition means something.
