Most parents arrive with a narrower question than “what should we read?” — they want something for bedtime, or for a child who will not sit still, or for the week a new baby comes home. These 25 lists cut the same 120 books along those lines.
Every book appears on a list only when it genuinely belongs there, which is why the lists are different lengths. Nothing was padded to reach a round number.
